You're probably wondering what we do all day? Maybe someone thinks we're watching series, now that we have so much time. Which there would be enough time sometimes, but life in a van has certain limitations (like the need to move for electricity or to get water or gas, and on top of that conserve internet), but it also has lots of positives! Otherwise we wouldn't be here. :D

The view that makes all the limitations worthwhile

Usually we get up in the morning, like everyone. We're not really good at getting up very early, when you don't have a precise routine, you just voluntarily dig yourself out of bed with difficulty. Plus we have the coldest time in the van in the morning and we often have to heat up before we can even get out somehow.

In the cooking process

Breakfast follows. For us it's the main meal of the day, mainly probably because we often don't make lunch and for dinner we throw together something quick on the way to bed... yep, that happens too. Especially when it's the day we spend on the road. For breakfast we usually have eggs a thousand ways, sausages, or pastries with some spread. We love those! (If you have a recipe for an easy spread, feel free to write in the comments! We're happy to be inspired ;) ). And we also love pancakes... but those take a bit longer to prepare. And after breakfast of course I wash the dishes. If we didn't do this after every meal, we wouldn't have anywhere to cook the next one... sometimes it pays to have limited space and dishes.

One of our favorite breakfasts! With jam from mom!

What happens next is decided by the day of the week. When it's a workday, Leo isn't bored. I don't have as much work, but even so there's plenty that needs to be done. Sometimes I clean, sometimes I prepare more complicated food, sometimes I exercise, sometimes I do something creative in the van to make it look better, or I write the blog and plan next trip destinations (if anyone knows great places in Greece, put them in the comments!). There are lots of activities if you want them.

When we're finishing something on the van, we do it properly. First everything gets unloaded so it's right at hand, and then we get to work! And then it starts raining....

When Leo has a bit of free time, we move. Usually it's about 1-2 hours drive somewhere to the next place. And most often we drive in the evening. But then you don't enjoy the landscapes around at all. That's why when possible, we'd rather drive during the day. This is one of the main advantages of traveling in summer - you have light until 10 pm!

Our cabin... this is the most original, we haven't yet figured out how to beautify it.

We plan our driving so that in the evening we arrive at a place from which we can walk somewhere the next day or where there's at least a nice view. The next day we just do the most necessary in the morning and head out to get some fresh air! That's why we're doing this after all! To get to know the world around us, which is changing so quickly for us. And that's what we enjoy most. The freedom to go where we want and have the opportunity to explore without limits.

We couldn't skip mulled wine before Christmas either!

After returning to the van we either move on or head to bed. After dinner we wash everything (sometimes including ourselves) and climb into the blankets. About 3 times we've watched a movie here and once we even played a game on PC! Otherwise I usually read and Leo sometimes still finishes something for work. Or we put the latest photos and experiences on Facebook and Instagram. Then we're usually just lulled to sleep by sounds from the surroundings, in rain or the sound of waves you fall asleep really wonderfully! :)

Our Christmas decorations... do you see those baubles?
