So it was one of those mornings when it looked like it wasn't going to rain and Leo had a lot of work to do. So I decided to do the laundry. Ignoring the near-freezing temperatures, I grabbed the washing machine, plugged in an extension cord, and filled it up. There was too much laundry though, so it would take two rounds. Washing, wringing, hanging the first load, then again. The laundry smells nice, the water is almost black, and my hands are freezing from the wind and cold temperatures outside. It actually looks pretty good! I clean everything up and run inside to show off and warm up. But what's this! After about 15 minutes I look outside and it's starting to snow! Just a little, but we still decide it's better to hang the laundry inside. First we need to screw in some hooks and hang a clothesline. Then I hang up the completely frozen laundry again and hope that this time we'll be more successful. :D

First, fill it with laundry and water that I warmed up a bit beforehand.
Hanging laundry, first attempt...
...and second attempt! Much more successful.

And so they lived happily ever after with dry and clean laundry until the end of the week, when the whole process could repeat again.

I dedicate this fairy tale to the girls from VGD who were terrified of traveling without a proper washing machine, and also to my sister-in-law, who couldn't wait to see the washing machine in action.
